Coffee Week : 7-11 Sep
Looking for an excuse for an extra coffee or two? Staff and students are encouraged to indulge in a coffee or two as part of the second UOW Cares' Coffee for a Cause, 7-11 September 2009. For every coffee sold at participating outlets, 50 cents will be donated to student scholarships. Purchase five or more coffees for your chance to receive a FREE travel mug. Sexuality & Gender week (Wk 7) is a week celebrating sexual and gender diversity at UOW, brought to you by the Allsorts Queer Collective. This a quick run-down of the week, but keep an eye out for posters and check out the website/ timetable (on the board outside the library) for more info about what’s on & when. It will be lots of fun, so come out and celebrate!
Monday: Workshops on Unions, Sexual consent and Trans* issues, and the launch of the Sexuality & Gender Tertangala (night event)
Tuesday: Ableism workshop, Queer film screenings & Polyamory discussion group
Wednesday: Fairday!!!! Queer movie night
Thursday: BDSM/Sex work workshop, Allsorts meeting and coffee, Marriage debate and Coming Out by Fairylight (night event)
Friday: Spirituality, Femme workshop and Sexism discussion
