U Film Festival

It’s that time of year again – The U Film Festival competition has commenced and we want your films! If you have produced or are interested in making a short film, then click here, register and upload your film onto U Tube to go into the draw to win the national University Film Festival Competition! The UOW screening will be held on 25 Aug and registrations are due 19 Aug. Films are to be handed into the CSE office by the 20 Aug by 4pm. For more info please email Katie.

Daffodil Day Ball

The Cancer Council is holding a Daffodil Day Ball on Sat 22 Aug, commencing at 6:30pm @ TIGS (The Illawarra Grammar School). There will be raffles, live auctions, entertainment and a live performance by Wendy Matthews and all money raised from this event will stay local, to be allocated to set up a new Cancer Information Centre at Wollongong Hospital. Do Something Special : Donate Blood

The Australian Red Cross donormobile is visiting UOW on 27 July, from 9:30am-2:30pm and will be located in the carpark behind Building 17. Please phone 13 14 95 to make an appt. and make sure you have plenty to eat and at least three glasses of water/juice before donating. So do something special for 2009 and donate blood.


Live a life less ordinary - join Big Fish

Big Fish is CSE's new and exciting student leadership program open to all UOW students. It runs for the first time this session and starts in Week 2. Places are limited, so get in quick to avoid disappointment! Click here for more info. Registration closes on 7 Aug.

Israeli Film Festival

The 8th Israeli Film Festival will be held in Wollongong on 8 Aug 2009, 6.30pm at the UOW in Building 67.
Noodle (2006) and The Beetle (2008) will be shown at this event and films are in Hebrew with English subtitles. Entry is $5 at the door and this event is organized by the Kibbutz Ex Volunteer Association (KEVA).
