Band Comp Heats Announced
The amps are turned up, the roadies have cleared the stage, the UniBar lights have been dimmed and the crowd is buzzing with anticipation as it's time to announce the Heats for Band Comp 2009. UniCentre Cup 2009 Champions!
Congratulations to the UOW Civil Engineering Society who took out the title on Friday, as the champions for 2009! Held on Fri 27th March, the UniCentre Cup was a fun-filled day of Clubs & Societies battling it out for this prestigious title. Who willl be crowned the winners for 2010?
Law Students Cocktail Party
The Law Students' Society are holding a Uniform Cocktail Party on Wed 8th April from 7pm-12am.Tix are $30 for social members and $35 for non-social members and includes 3 free cocktails and canapes. Invisible Children Screening
“Invisible Children: Rough Cut” is a film which documents a war in northern Uganda in which children are abducted by a rebel army and forced to fight as child soldiers. The UOW is hosting a public screening of Invisible Children on Tue 21st April @ 7pm in Bldg 67, Room 107. For more info, please contact Elana Foster via email.
Knitting/Self Defense Workshop
CSE will be running a 'Learn to Knit' workshop on Thursday the 9th April (Week 6). Come along, have some fun and learn to knit a warm winter scarf! All materials supplied and tickets can be purchased at the UniShop for $5. A womens Self Defense Workshop has commenced in Wk 5 and will run until Wk 13. Held in the movement labs-Bldg 27, on campus. Cost is $40 for students and $50 for staff and tix available from the UniShop. For more information on either of the workshops, please email Katie.
