ABG Annual Scientific Meeting 2008
The Convening committee for the ABG (Australian Brachytherapy Group) Annual Scientific Meeting promises to be a conference that is educational and stimulating which also allows registrants to take advantage of the wonders of Sydney Harbour. July and August sees Sydney at its best, with moderate winter weather and sunshine throughout these weeks.
The committee has chosen a wide range of topics of "Brachytherapy" including Prostate Cancer Brachytherapy, Breast cancer Brachytherapy and Gynaecological and Medical Physics aspects of Brachytherapy with an emphasis on trends that will have an impact on the practice of radiation oncology generally. ABG meetings have always proved to be a valuable forum for the discussion of hot issues in Brachytherapy.
Please check out the website regularly - we will update news of our guest speakers and program on regular basis. There is an excellent social program that will showcase some of Sydney’s attractions and there is the opportunity to combine the formal program with a range of tours and holiday options for family members who may come along as well.
We encourage as many members as we can to submit papers and to enhance their continuing professional development.
Our Venue, The Star City Casino and Hotel, is an experienced conference centre and also offers excellent accommodation. There is also a range of accommodation to suit all needs and budgets mostly within easy walking distance of the hotel, but please be sure to book early - Our meeting is likely to coincide with a number of other events in town.
