Cognitive Load Theory Conference
Wollongong Australia
University of Wollongong
McKinnon Building 67 level 2 VC Dinning Room

29 February – 2 March 2008

Introduction

The Faculty of Education at the University of Wollongong has the pleasure to announce that it will host the second International Cognitive Load Theory (CLT) conference in February/March 2008.  The conference theme will focus on recent developments in the application of cognitive load theory. Researchers that also work in the area of cognition and instructional design are also strongly encouraged to attend.

The University of Wollongong is located on the New South Wales coast, 80km south of Sydney.   Wollongong’s natural environment includes some of the most pristine beaches in Australia and the escarpment to the west offers a great network of walking trails and dazzling views of the coastline.  February and March are the most pleasant months as the heat and humidity of midsummer has dissipated to be replaced by a more temperate climate.

The 2007 conference was a phenomenal success.  We look forward to an even more productive 2008 conference in Wollongong.

Paul Chandler
Dean, Faculty of Education
