Global Team 2009
POVERTY
In 2000, eight ‘Millennium Development Goals’ were developed with the objective of improving the lives of the world’s poorest people by 2015. While some progress has been made, 1.4 billion people (roughly one-fifth of the world's inhabitants) continue to live in extreme poverty. So in 2009 the Global team will be bringing Anti-Poverty Week to the UOW campus to educate and encourage students to act on the issue so we can become the generation to eradicate poverty!
