UOW Chemistry Society (Chemsoc)
ChemSoc is a not-for-profit organisation run by members of UOW School of Chemistry for all science students with an interest in Chemistry, or its related fields.
We hold 2 BBQs each session with vegetarians and carnivores well provided for; in addition to running a Trade Display, where various companies come to display the latest and greatest in scientific devices; a Trivia night, full of fun and laughs; and finally an End of Year formal, an excuse to get all dressed up, eat, drink and be merry. Other events throughout the year involve the organisation and running of interschool cricket and soccer matches between Biology and Chemistry as well as taking part in the UniCentre Cup, in which we took home 2nd place last year.
So, if you’re looking to get to know some of your lectures better in a non-work environment, or are just looking to have a laugh, feel free to come along and sign up to ChemSoc.
