Phase 2: ACHIEVE
The second year of Black Opal is about helping you achieve your goals at Uni and elsewhere.

At the end of Phase 1 you will give preferences - based on your interest - for seven different Phase 2 Themes:

The theory and practical activities in your weekly theme meetings will revolve around your leadership specialisation. These will be led by Black Opal staff or senior Black Opal students. These themes are your chance to explore a particular realm of leadership that interests you.

In Session 1 you will run a major theme event on campus, and in Session 2 you will run one in the local community. These activities are a great way for you to demonstrate you leadership skills.

The Phase 2 workshops step up a level from the ones completed in Phase 1, and you also begin the Exploring Leadership course.

In the midsession break, you will engage in the biggest event in Black Opal, the 5-day Diversity Camp. This is not to be missed, as many students have called it the most powerful event in their Black Opal experience.

The second session of Phase 2 holds many more surprises and challenges as you implement what you planned at the Diversity Camp, continue running the remaining Theme events, and complete the Exploring Leadership class. As usual, we'll send you off to summer in style and another year of Uni is done!
